Who got who?

I know it is sorta late, but in case you missed the draw on who got who. This is it. The girls... Angie buys for Desiree, Desiree buys for Ashley and Ashley buys for Angie. The guys...Ryan buys for Jake, Jake buys for Nick, Nick buys for Adam and Adam buys for Ryan. Do what you can. If you can't. No big deal. Send a card or a phone call would be nice.

Santa's Work Day

Today was a day for Santa to quit procrastinating and get it all together and decide what to do with all the packages and gifts for the long distance families. I think the reason I've put it off for so long was to prolong the inevitable... thinking if I waited long enough everyone would just say "Okay...we'll be there." I know better, but I can hope. This Christmas will be like no other. Three of our boys are grown and married now and are making memories with their own wives. In a way that makes me sad. But in my heart I am happy that our boys are happy, grown men now and are doing with their own new family what we did with them when they were younger...making memories with the ones they love.

Sunsets are always nice

Nothing much going on today. Cleaned house and got all my Christmas cards mailed. I had to trim the tree by the window up to about 4 feet so Kirby could look out the window. I'll post a picture tomorrow. Dad went to the company Christmas Party. I stayed home with Pop.

The Dempsey's

Some of you know about my friends in Belfast, Northern Ireland and some of you don't. This is Lisa Dempsey with newborn baby Luke. Luke was born Nov. 11. Lisa and I met on Yahoo messenger about 3 years ago. We email or talk almost everyday. Lisa is married to Alan and has Amber, Jade and Baby Luke. Someday Lisa, I will get there. I can't wait to meet my long distance family.

Amber & Jade holding Baby Luke

90 Years old and still cooking.

Pop always wants to help. Getting ready for Thanksgiving was difficult to do with a bum hand...so I used Pop. He held the parsnips and I used the pealer. He loves to feel needed.

Now "THAT is Santa Claus"

That's not Santa either.

Santa?

Kirby...That's not Santa. That's Pop.

UM?

Hey Kirb? I been waiting here for Santa ever since you said you saw him in a red hat on the front porch. How long do I have to wait?

Help!

Adam and Jake

I love this one.

Do you think this is what Mom had in mind?

Are these the same kids that had to be forced to help decorate the tree a few years back? My, how times change. Thanks guys. You did it perfectly. You're the best.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...

Wish you all could have been with us. Jake and Ashley and Adam went with me and dad and Pop to a new Christmas tree farm. We tried to go to the one that we always went to when you were kids but their phone was disconnected so we assumed they were not there any longer. I still had the direction to that place in an old address book that I have had for years. I was really disappointed they were not there. But.....dad found another one on the internet and it was great. They had three kinds of trees. I don't know what they were but we decided that this was a year for change. We chose a cedar tree not a fir like we have always gotten before. All their trees were great. We got the biggest tree on the farm. The hard part was to figure out how we could attach it to the top of the Lexus. When we asked the guy if it would be better to put it on top or in the truck he said... "I go right by your house...I'll bring it to you about 6:30." How good can it get? A great tree a great price and delivered. Hope you guys approve!
